lesson 1

Hello!  It's Rosalia (rose-a-LEE-a).  This weeks lesson is about Adam and Eve.  Most Christians know this story.  Even if you know this story, you should still read this lesson, because you can always get something new out of it!

God created everything.  Including Adam and Eve.   He made them on the 6th day.  God told them that they could eat anything in the Garden Of Eden, except the tree in the center, or they will end up dying.  Did they obey? No! God's enemy, Satan, tricked Eve into eating the fruit God commanded them not to eat by twisting the truth.  After Eve ate the fruit, she gave some to Adam.  Soon after, they realized they were naked, so they made clothes out of fig leaves.  Then, God came to visit Adam and Eve.  Even though God knew where Adam and Eve were, He  decided to ask them where they were.  "Adam, where are you?"  He asked.  Adam said, "Eve and me are hiding in some brush."  said Adam.  God asked, "why are you hiding?"  Adam said, "because we are naked,"  God said, "who told you you're naked? Did you eat from the tree I commanded you not to?"  Adam said,  "Eve gave me the fruit, and I took it, and I ate it."  God turned to Eve.  Eve said, "that serpent gave it to me!"  And God turned to Satan.  Then God put a curse on each of them.  Adam had to grow his own food, and have lots of weeds with it.  Eve would have lots of pain giving birth, and Adam would have charge over her.  and Satan?  He had to crawl on his belly and eat the dust of the earth for all the time he lived.

Is that the end?!?! No!  next week we will continue the story, and in the questions section, before Saturday,  type in what YOU think next weeks story will be. If you guess correctly, the next lesson will say your name!

I think our 'take-away' from this lesson is to obey God.  Can you get a different 'take-away' from this lesson?  If you can, thats great!  Also, if you can think of one, type it in on the question section.  If I pick YOUR 'take-away', then YOUR name will be in the answers page!
See you next Saturday!   Rosalia

read it for yourself in Genesis chapters 1, 2, and 3!

lesson 2

Hello! Its Rosalia again!  NOBODY tried to guess what the next lesson would be, so I recommend doing that.  this weeks lesson is about
Cain and Abel.  This is the story after Adam and Eve.

Adam and Eve gave birth to 2 sons, Cain and Abel. Cain was a farmer,
and Abel was a sheepherder.  One day, when they where giving sacrifices to the LORD, Cain gave SOME of his fruits and veggies, and Abel gave firstborn of his flock.  GOD took Abels offering, but not Cain's.  Cain did not like this at ALL.  Cain asked his brother to go out to the field with him to talk. What did Cain do? Guess.  Cain. took his anger out on his brother. He killed Abel.  Later, God asked Cain where Abel was, even though he knew.  Cain said, I do not know.  Am I my brothers keeper?  Then the LORD said, What have you done?  The voice of your brothers blood is crying to me from the ground.  The punishment from the LORD was a curse on Cain.  Cain said, My punishment is greater then I can handle!  What if someone kills me?  Then the LORD said, Do not worry, if anyone kills you, he will  be punished sevenfold.  And the LORD put a mark on Cain so everyone would know that.

Is that the e
nd?!?! No!  next week we will continue the story, and in the questions section, before Saturday,  type in what YOU think next weeks story will be. If you guess correctly, the next lesson will say your name!

I think our 'take-away' from this lesson is to give mercy.  Can you get a different 'take-away' from this lesson?  If you can, thats great!  Also, if you can think of one, type it in on the question section.  If I pick YOUR 'take-away', then YOUR name will be in the answers page!   See you next Saturday!   Rosalia

Read it in Genesis chapter 4!

lesson 3

Hello! Its Rosalia again!  This time Amaya and Christina guessed the next story.

Amaya
Write a message:
Noah and the boat and his family and the flood.

Christina
Write a message:
Is next week going to be about Noah's ark? 🤔

Amaya and Christina guessed right!  This week’s lesson is about Noah and his family.  This is the story after Cain and Abel.

Back when Noah lived, in the land he lived in, lots of people were wicked.  So many people were wicked, that Noah, his family, and his three sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, were the only ones that were not wicked.  God was going to put a stop to all this wickedness.  God was going to send a flood.  But since Noah was faithful, God decided to spare Noah and his family.  He told Noah to build a ark! a ark is like a REALLY big ship.  God told Noah to make it out of gopher wood. Make rooms in it.  Cover it with tar inside and out. God told him to make it 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high.  Give it a roof, leave below the roof a window, a foot and a half high.  Put a door on one side of the ark.  Make three levels, top middle, and bottom.  Everything that is not on the ark is going to die.  On the WHOLE earth.  But God made a promise that Noah and his family will be safe on the ark.  Bring male and female of every creature on earth!  Take all the food you and the animals need, and and store it.  Noah did everything God said.  Then God said, go into the ark.  Take 7 pairs of 'clean' animals onto the ark, a male and female of each.  Take 7 pairs of each bird, Take 1 pair of each not 'clean' animal, male and female of each.  7 days from now I will send a flood that will cover the whole earth, Said God.  It will rain 40 days and 40 nights.  Again, he did everything God commanded him.  Noah was 600 years old when the flood came to the earth.  Then they all went into the ark, Noah and his family.  Everything that God said happened.  After 7 days, the flood came to the earth.  Noah was 600 years old, and it was the 17
th day of the second month of the year.  That same day, the earth burst into full flood.  Just like God said, it rained for 40 days and 40 nights.  Then God shut the door.  Now thats just cool!
The waters want so high they covered the mountains.  So high, that the ark floated so high. The earth was flooded for 150 days.  But God showed concern for Noah and his family and the animals.  He caused a wind to blow across the earth, causing the waters to go down.  At the end of 150 days, the water had gone down.  On the 17
th day of the of the 7th month, the ark came to rest on Mount Ararat.  The waters kept going down till the 10th month.  On the 1st day of the 10th month, the mountain tops could be seen.  40 days passed, and Noah sent out a raven.  It kept flying back and forth until the waters on the ground had dried up.  Then Noah sent out a dove.  He wanted to see if the waters on the ground had dried up, but the dove couldn't find a place to rest, so Noah knew the water still covered the surface.  He waited another week, then sent the dove out again.  Later the the dove came back, with a fresh olive leaf!  Noah knew the water had gone down.  A week later, he sent the dove out again.  This time, the dove did not return.  By the 27th day of the second month, the water on the earth had dried up totally.  God told them to come out, and they did.  Then God sent a rainbow as a promise never to flood the whole earth again.

I think our 'take-away' from this lesson is God always keeps his word.  Can you get a different 'take-away' from this lesson?  If you can, thats great!  Also, if you can think of one, type it in on the question section.  If I pick YOUR 'take-away', then YOUR name will be in the answers page!   See you next Saturday!   Rosalia

lesson 4

Hello! Its Rosalia again!  Again, NOBODY tried to guess the next story!  But anyway, this lesson is about the Tower of Babel.  This is the story after Noah and the flood.

At this time, everyone spoke the same language, and every one on the whole earth understood each other. And they settled in a place called Shinar,  (Pronounced SHI-naar.  Click
HERE to listen to the pronunciation) even though GOD told them to spread out on the earth.  They made bricks, and burned them throughly.  They said, "let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower that reaches the heavens."  They wanted a name, and they wanted to be famous around the world.  The LORD came to see the tower which they had built.  The LORD was angry with them because they were being prideful, so He confused their languages so that they could not understand each other, and they had to spread out on the earth.

I think our 'take-away' from this lesson is to not be prideful.  Can you get a different 'take-away' from this lesson?  If you can, thats great!  Also, if you can think of one, type it in on the question section.  If I pick YOUR 'take-away', then YOUR name will be in the answers page!   See you next Saturday!   Rosalia.

Read it in Genesis chapter 11!

lesson 5

Hello! Its Rosalia again!  This lesson is about the Sarai and Hagar.  This is the next main story after the tower of babel.

Sarai (Abram's wife) had no children, and she was getting old.  But she did have a girl servant named Hagar.  Sarai said to Abram, the Lord is not giving me a child.  Take Hagar as your wife also, because you will have more luck with getting children through her.  Ten years later, Hagar became pregnant.  Sarai was angry because Hagar was going to have a baby and she was not.  Abram told Sarai that he could do what she want with Hagar, cause Hagar was HER servant.  Sarai made life hard for Hagar, and she secretly fled.  Then an angel of the LORD found Hagar by a spring of water in the wilderness, and the angel of the LORD said to Hagar, where have you come from?  Where are you going?  I am fleeing from my master, Sarai.  And the angel of the LORD said, go back to your master, Sarai, and do what she says.  Then the angel said to Hagar that she would have a son and you shall call him Ishmael, and even though God was going to carry the promise of a great nation through Isaac, God would make a great nation through Ishmael, too.  And Hagar gave birth, and called the son Ishmael.  Abram was 86 years old when Hagar gave birth.

I think our 'take-away' from this lesson is to not be jealous.  Can you get a different 'take-away' from this lesson?  If you can, thats great!  Also, if you can think of one, type it in on the question section.  If I pick YOUR 'take-away', then YOUR name will be in the answers page!   See you next Saturday!   Rosalia.
