My Bible Bee 

Lesson 8          

Hello! 
Are you getting bored of Valentines Day?  Hopefully not.  But, next week, we will learn about something different.  Are you ready to get started?  Lets go! 
We already know that the Bible talks a lot about love.  We also know that love is sacrifice.  But theres something else.  You know how we are always messing up?  How many times have you gotten in trouble for doing something wrong?  How many times has your parent/guardian forgiven you?  How many times has someone had mercy on you?  You've probably gotten in trouble more than someone has had mercy on you.  But you know why they do that?  Listen to this. 
Proverbs 23:13-14
Don't fail to discipline your children.  The rod of punishment won't kill them.  Physical discipline may well save them from death.
Lets say your caretaker said: "Don't jump on the bed."  Ugh.  Jumping on the bed is awesome, right?  Lets say you obeyed the rule that your caretaker made.  Doesn't seem like it made a difference until you compare what could have happened.  Rewind...  Lets say your caretaker says "Don't jump on the bed."  Ugh.  Jumping on the bed is awesome, right?  Lets say you disobey your caretaker, and jump while he/she is not looking.  You fall and break your arm.  If you obeyed the rule that your caretaker made so you wouldn't fall off the bed and break your arm.  They don't want you to break your arm.
